All around a great restaurant. My husband and I go every month or so. The prices have gone up a little bit since we started going, but that could be an indication that the economy is getting better. A couple of times the food has not been up to par, however, upon mention the restaurant took care of it. The service has always been wonderful.

Jon our waiter was awesome!! I have kids and they can be a handful for some waiters. Jon was great if u have kids make sure u get seated in his area and the food was pretty decent for the price.

We were new to the area and we frequently drive by the restaurant so we tried. Ambiance was great and the food was okay, not quite my expectation of it. Older crowd, a bit too loud for my child. He can scream and we would not hear him. So loud hat I thought the waiter said pay when you exit and I bet he was scared we walked away with a receipt without paying a big bill. Could be a good place to hang out with sophisticated people but I don't think you'll be able to hear each other.

This is an excellent restaurant. Started with drinks at the bar with a lobster appetizer that was very tasty. I had the filet and lobster dinner with the wedge salad and twice baked potato. Everything was cooked just right and was delicious. Our waiter Joe recommended a Pinot Noir that was excellent and the Key Lime pie and the Creme Brûlée for dessert were wonderful. It is pricey but worth the experience. The employees are all extremely nice and go out of their way to please the customer. This is a great place for a memorable dinner.

Went here for an early birthday dinner in a Saturday night. I've had a few friends tell me nothing but good things about this place and the majority of the reviews were positive. I have to say that I was pretty impressed! Our server was exceptional and extremely knowledgable and friendly. I really like that they serve "big" glasses of wine (9oz). I had the prime rib combo with the Caesar and she had the top sirloin with crab combo. Both were cooked excellent and very tasty. The crab cakes for an appetizer were awesome as well. Don't forget to get the brownie for dessert! Overall this place is an excellent choice for a great steak without shelling out an extra $50 to dine at Sullivan's or Flemings.

They wow'd me a few times. That's what I call a 5-star restaurant! First of all, I have to say that the view at night is EPIC. Situated just high enough on the hill to get a great view of the city nearby, the city lights added a nice touch to our group's dinner. Everyone was pleased with their meals (mostly steak selections), and the wine was good! Desserts were amazing quality as well. I really wish I lived closer, as I would definitely come back here again. Keep up the great work!

Very disappointed with the new policy! You are no longer allowed to have happy hour menu on the patio. Only allowed to have the dinner menu - even at 4 in the afternoon when no one is on the patio. We left and went somewhere else.

Fantastic!! Food & staff amazing. You can walk in but expect to wait 30 min Friday night. They do have reservations which will cut the wait time. Do expect to drop about two bills for Drinks dinner dessert for three. And a tip of course! Very happy will go again for the next birthday celebration!!!

Anniversary dinner while visiting Tucson. This is just a great restaurant. Very good server and attended to all needs. If you are looking for straight forward good food and great atmosphere and well appointed restaurant, this is it. We declined dessert, but they brought a free one anyway for our anniversary. Very good treatment. Only one thing prevents 5 stars on this review. They were out of the menu item I really wanted to order. I really don't understand how a restaurant like that can not have a menu item on Friday night.

I have been here once for dinner and a fair few other times for happy hour. I think their happy hour and bar atmosphere is better than their dinner. Just know this is a very dark, atmospheric restaurant. They also have a really cute little patio when the weather is nice with a great view of the mountains. The waitresses are all really great and really beautiful. Here are a couple reviews of their happy hour menu: Baked Garlic Shrimp-- Very good, but the thing that is on the menu that tastes most like you can get it anywhere....ie: they took it out of a box, unfroze it, and baked it. Still yummy. Baked Brie--I wish there was more. Their crostini is hit or miss in terms of being too crispy, but they have some amazing basil pesto and red pepper jelly and it is the best in town! Scallops and Bacon--YUM. Bottom line. Loaded Nachos- A great bang for your buck because it has a good amount. I always add some meat and it is great! Mojito--Good and refreshing Margarita--my favorite mixed drink there if I am not feeling wine. Usually wine is my first choice though and the wine is a good pour. Oh and their bread...bread is my favorite part. The bread here is GOOD. Basically a great upscale bar on this side of town!

Flawless and incredible upscale food and atmosphere. Best filet mignon I've had in Tucson (bacon-wrapped with dayum good garlic mashed potatoes). With wine, it's $100+ per couple - and absolutely worth it. My only negative is the location. It's all the way up in Oro Valley at Oracle/Tangerine. Definately a solid "once in s while" or special occasion place for adults/couples.

We dined here a few days ago and it was just plain excellent!!!! Service was superb and the food more than met our expectations. I would highly recommend if you would like to have a delicious steak dinner! We both had the filet and the twice baked potato, wedge salad and some fine Cabernet wine. The manager, Ray also was delightful as he checked on us as well. Loved everything!

This is a pretty fancy place. We have eaten here many times over the last 4 years. The service is always top notch. The food sometimes is another thing. The good. This place looks great. It is modern and upscale. From the patio with some great views of Pusch Ridge, to the bar that has a nice and relaxing feel, and then the dining room that is visually perfect from the lighting down to the masonry work on the fireplace this place comes together nicely. We have spent time in the bar during happy hours before a movie or just simply shopping at the marketplace. They have a well-priced happy hour and we have not been disappointed here. The bar is my favorite part of this place. The food is usually great. From the 12 dollar burger to a 30 plus dollar steak, the flavors and presentation are outstanding. The bad. We have had to send food back on a few different occasions. Our last visit (01/11/15) we ordered our steaks medium well. Both were served very pink. I would rate them rare (my wife's very rare). She sent hers back to the kitchen. It was then served well (very well). The kitchen manager came out and talked to her. He said he had looked at both steaks and they had in fact not cooked them right. He took her entrée off the bill and that was nice considering she only took two bites out of the very well done steak. This last visit consisted of a failed dining experience at $55.00 dollars with her entrée removed from the bill. This was also a no alcohol meal so you get the idea a little pricey for a failure here. More importantly this was a little special dress up and go out meal for us that was somewhat ruined by a poorly cooked steak that was cooked wrong not only once but twice. While looking around we saw a few other tables sending stuff back to the kitchen. The ugly. The acoustics in the main dining room are just horrible. If you see several cars in the lot the noise level in the main dining room is going to be as loud as eating in a loud diner. The voices just echo off of everything. This is truly a failure for the dining room and the main reason why I say the bar is my favorite location to dine in. Overall. I am only giving The Keg 3 stars. When they are at their best and while dining in the bar it is a nice 4-5 star place. At its worst and with a busy loud dining room I would give it 2 stars. The place is very visually appealing and would make a perfect date night location if the dining room was not busy and loud or if the bar or patio seating is available.

Me and my girlfriend (at the time were dating) we went here for our first date. She said she has been to the one in Phoenix and she was blown away by how much more intimate this one was... We had reservations at 8:30 pm it was a Saturday night and we did not have to wait, the staff was very friendly as we walked in. Each of them made us feel like we were welcomed and truly happy we were there.. Our servers name was josh, he was very nice and was fast for a nice restaurant... He never made us wait once and always asked us how we were doing and if we needed anything. We had drinks, started with the shrimp appetizer ( it was prob some of the best shrimp I have ever had and I am from Seattle) our course meals were amazing, very well setup and displayed... I recommend this to any one that is going on a date or just want to have a really good meal, we like to dress up but you can also go casual and that's what I liked about the place. So check it out some time :) highly recommend...

We came here tonight to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We have eaten here twice now, first time was on Thanksgiving. What a great experience. The food was really good. I love my king crab legs and my husband said his ribeye steak was amazing. To top it off, We both agree the service was outstanding. We have never had a better waitress. Evona was GREAT, and believe me, I eat out a lot! She was so kind and very attentive and even packed my to go items with one saying "for the puppy", because that's what I said it was for, She even told the manager that it's our anniversary, so he came out with champagne for us. What a great experience. Thank you so much. You definitely made our day even more awesome! :)

Atmosphere- 5 stars as I really liked the place and the massive booth for the two of us almost felt like a private dinner Service-5 stars as they were all over it and they were very friendly and delivered our food in force with lots of smiles. Food-3 stars but this is a tough one as the choice of the 2 1/2 lb Lobster sort of ruined it for the rest as it was a huge waste of money. The waitress was so thrilled to tell us it was flown in from Nova Scotia and that it was a huge 2 1/2 lbs. I think it walked the whole way as the tail was a complete let down in that it was really, really small when pulled from the shell. The claws were also a let down as one had delicious meat but the other claw was almost empty but for a fork full of meat. I paid $45 for a Lobster which came out to about $45 a lb as that's about all we got out of this one which left us pretty embarrassed we fell for it. The Lobster stir fry dish was very good as was the Caesar Salad. We didn't have drinks so the bill was manageable and the food was good. I'll try it again and test the prime rib or a steak and leave the Lobster to the experts.

My wife and I went on Sunday 3/22/15. The Keg is nicely decorated and appears to be quite "upscale". Whether that is a good thing...... you'll have to decide. It appears to be a place mainly for "special occasions" and business dinners or lunches. The prices are not cheap at all (minus 1 star for that). My wife had the 7 oz filet mignon dinner and I had the 20 oz rib steak, as they call it..... it is actually a bone-in ribeye steak, FYI. We did not have drinks...... just a coffee which we shared. The total bill including tip was about $84 and that included a 10% discount card provided by our hotel. If we had bar drinks and desert the bill would have been about $120-$140 without the 10% discount. Like I said, not cheap. My steak was ordered to be seasoned blackened and served medium rare and it was done correctly. It was just an OK cut of meat, not the greatest I've had, but good nonetheless. My wife ordered her filet mignon to be done medium, but it came out medium rare. She tasted it and liked it that way, so we did not have to send it back. The side veggies were really good mushrooms including pieces of portobello mushrooms as well along with onions and red sweet pepper pieces, That went well with both steaks. My wife chose the twice baked potato and loved it. I chose the baked potato. It was tiny to tell the truth, which I found odd. My wife's meal also came with a Ceasar's Salad which we shared since it is quite large (unlike the tiny baked potato). The salad was fresh and excellent. The bread loaves were also good and went perfectly with the meal. Suggestions to the owners in a nutshell: 1. Lower your prices by at least 10%. 2. Fix the tiny baked potato problem immediately. 3. Change the name of the "rib steak" to Ribeye Steak- bone-in. I had no idea it would be a bone-in steak when I ordered it. We're here for a week and won't be back mainly due to the high cost per person. However, if you are in need of a place for a very nice business meal or "special occasion", this place would be excellent in my opinion.

We come here from time to time for dinner our happy hour. I always love, love, love their prime rib. They serve it with horseradish that is properly spicy, which is nice. Throw in a lobster tail serf and turf style and you're good to go. This time I ordered the prime rib and asked for it rare..like gross rare. It came out medium and while it still tasted good, those of us who like out meat still bleeding will understand that this isn't what I was looking for. I didn't send it back..didn't ruin my meal, but it wasn't as good as it has been in the past. The twice baked potato that came with it was good, but I barely touched it because there is no way I can eat 12 oz of meat and a massive potato. We also tried the prime rib burger which was fine, nothing to write home about. They cooked this properly per our order. I always drink here, and why not, they have a nice rotating beer selection. The vanilla porter is no longer on offer which is super depressing, but it has been replaced with the Mirror Pond Pale Ale which is nice. It's no vanilla porter, but not all beers can be quite that delicious. I also had a margarita which was good- pretty much all their cocktails will leave you happy. Our servers are always enthusiastic young pretty things. Sometimes they are a bit over the top with their cuteness and eagerness to make sure every little thing every second of the meal is to your liking, but this time we had just the right amount of cute served with out meal.

We come here often, so we can compare the food and service over the years. It has gone down hill! Would not recommend this restaurant for any special occasion, like an anniversary if they force you to sit in the bar! 2.5 hour wait for the dinning room. The bar menus should have different prices, (lower) as the service is poor and the atmosphere is not worth $35 entrees plus drinks. People come in and hover next to your table looking for a place to sit. Eating your filet with a fat lady's butt in your plate is not worth the price. The noise level is very high , and they are playing background music, which you can't hear. Turn it OFF! My wife and I had a hard time talking to each other across the table. Lack of service, nobody refilled the water glasses during the whole meal. The waitress brought our check, then WE asked about desert. I ordered a second glass of wine during dinner, it came after desert. Great food, Service is OK, but for a lot less money you can eat at Denny's.

This is one of very few "nice" places to go in Oro Valley. The food is always delicious and the steaks are always cooked correctly. The patio is great when the weather is nice and the views of the Catalinas is awesome. The atmosphere is pretty cool and they play good tunes over the speakers. There is always golf on on at least one tv on the bar area as well as other relevant sports games. Downside...the service is horrible. We always eat/drink in the bar so the servers we have are usually the ditzy, big boobed chicks with dresses not much longer than their butt cheeks. We can pretty much always count on getting a server that is unattentive for the majority of the visit and then tries to rush to give you your check. Last time we came in, we came for drinks appetizers and dessert. The server didn't ask if we wanted refills on our drinks, and then automatically brought the check when we were almost done with our food without asking if we wanted anything else. I had to tell her that sorry we were taking her time but we wanted dessert as well. Unfortunately this type of service isn't unusual here. We will continue to come back pretty much only because we enjoy the atmosphere and the food and our other options are limited around OV.

A good local place to get happy hour with friends and family. The burgers are good, as well as the nachos and wings. The happy hour wine is good J Lohr which is a wonderful choice!! And they give you a 9 oz serving for happy hour :) Steaks are good too but pricey, we usually get it smothered with mushroom sauce along with shrimp for a good value to split between 2 people. The only downside is sometimes the wait staff is hard to get a hold of when busy. My husband and I joke though...they all are very attractive though ;)

Alright decided to give it another go at the Keg - scrabble and all. Service on Saturday and the manager is definitely better than on Sunday. Still no real great appetizers but we tried the Brie - okay not great. Then we ordered steaks which when you order the Keg Classic are really good. Still no way to get a salad plus steak right off the menu but the manager did say he would work with us as he wanted to be sure we were happy. Good stars for the service, but I really just want to get what I want off of the menu without having a special order. Hope that the Keg owners get with the program on the menu, if they did this would be 5 starts for us.

All the hostesses are blonde bimbos in dresses so tight and short one kept tugging on her hem to pull it down, totally ignored us, some patrons are dressed like they belong in a strip joint, I walked out. Not a comfortable atmosphere for the modest person.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we walked in the door. Seemed to be a huge mix in dress and we were somewhere in the middle. Really noisy once inside the lobby but realized quickly that was next to the bar area and that's to be expected; especially with how busy they were for a Wednesday night (a good sign). The dining area is lovely and very dimly lit and tastefully decorated. Probably a great place for a romantic dinner. She and I both started with the Blue Cheese Wedge salad which was wonderful, fresh, and the dressing was just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed them. I had a Keg sized Robert Mondavi Cab which was the perfect size and for my main course I chose the 12 oz Prime Rib with vegetables. My dinner was fantastic. She had the 12 oz sirloin and veggies and hers looked as wonderful as she told me it was. Our server was on top of everything, helped get us in and out in time for our movie without us feeling rushed or wanting for anything. They have such a great selection it was really hard to pick, so many tempting dishes! Can't wait to go back and try out more!

Sorry to report that the food didn't measure up. The server was lovely, the manager very apologetic, but, beyond that, my husband's birthday evening was ruined by what happened. I ordered prime rib medium well with a stuffed baked potato. I got very rare beef with french fries. Back it went while my husband started eating and shared with me, When the meal came back, the prime rib had been put on the griddle (it is not a hamburger) and, after cutting it, I saw that it had a thin layer of cooked meat on each side but was still raw in the middle. I grabbed the potato off the plate and the manager took the meat back. During this time, both my husband and I finished eating-sharing his dinner. I was eating off of my bread plate. The manager offered to bag up my dinner which finally was "finished." When we got home, I saw that they had recooked it again on the griddle-same piece of meat-and that it still was raw inside. This is a "steak house" and as such should know that prime rib is not a steak and is not put on a griddle like a burger. It ruins the meat. Again, the server and manager were very nice and also so sorry for what happened, but that doesn't excuse the fact that the kitchen did not provide what was ordered. We have been there before and have had mixed experience with the servers, but we have never had a problem with the food. Did they change cooks?

Been here on a few occasions, no real complaints. Not a bad steakhouse, especially it's the only one in the Oro Valley area so you have to take what you can get without having to travel into town. Rather expensive but then that's what you expect from a real steakhouse, but then not quite as pricey as it's competitors such as Flemming's, Sullivan's or McMon's. Though I'd say that the over all quality of the food & service at the Keg isn't as refined as those other 3 establishments, but like I said it's not as expensive and closer to home. That being said if I lived in town I probably wouldn't make the trip up to Oro Valley, but if you're in the area it's OK.

Although I live all the way on the east side, I never mind a trip up to OV just for this steakhouse. We've dined here on several occasions, and all of them were pleasant experiences. The hostesses in the front sometimes throw me off a bit, because they're usually young and dripping with fake enthusiasm when welcoming you, but that doesn't take away from the rest of my experience. Our servers are always very charming, very informative, and very professional yet personal. I love it. They've never missed a beat, other than a slow check a time or two. So, no complaints there. I'm not one to indulge on too many steaks, since I'm not huge on red meat. However, I have enjoyed everything I've had here. On the other hand, the boyfriend loves steak & will jump at every opportunity that involves appreciating a nice cut. A few of the things we've fancied were: * Escargot - It's a must for us, every single time. I love garlic, and it's drenched in garlic and herbs with a side of little sweet buns that are so cute and a delicious touch. * French Onion Soup - Very flavorful and hearty. * Filet Minion - Can't go wrong here. The 7oz is perfect for me, because I get to enjoy dessert at the end! * Peppercorn New York - If you are one to appreciate pepper corns and the aroma they give, you'll definitely like this one. * Rib Steak - He either gets this one or... * Prime Rib Classic - The only other alternative to his Rib Steak dinner. --- A side of Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and you're set. * Billy Miner Pie - Super rich. Super Delish. Chocolate lovers will adore. We have yet to try the Bar menu, but it is on the to-do list for the future. The prices here are a tad cheaper than say, Fleming's, for those who want a nice steak night but don't want to shell out a good part of your paycheck for. (:

I have been here twice in the last 3 months with fantastic visits both times. Our first visit was without our 2 month old daughter at the time and the second was with, now at 5 months. The service was very pleasant, promptly seated and drinks order taken a very short time later. Both visits we ordered a bottle of wine, they have a decent selection. Both visits we started with the French Onion Soup that is very tasty and came steaming hot with cheese done just right. The second visit we added a caesar salad that we split, no complaints. I like the large chunks of shredded parmesan on top. Now on to the steaks; we like ours medium and received them perfectly pink in the center. Right on. These steaks are very tender with no grizzle. Top notch. Just as comparable to say Flemings that we have been to several times over the years, but with out having to pay their premium price. My wife had the blue cheese filet with the garlic mashed potatoes both visits. She enjoyed them a lot. I have had both the Pecan Sirloin and Filet Oscar with the mix vegetables. Both came with their own sauces that added a nice taste to the steak. The mini shrimp and mini scallops that came with the Oscar were cooked perfectly and tasted great. They are in the sauce that is poured over the steak. Our second visit was for my wives birthday and was brought a complimentary dessert for the celebration. Our server had noticed we were packing up as our daughter started to get restless and was quick to get the check back to us and put the desert in a box without asking. Again great service. We are looking forward to our next visit.

This is one popular place! Gary and I ventured here to try The Keg for the first time. We've wanted to try it for a long while; every time we approached it, it was super busy. I figured a Wednesday night -- midweek -- might draw less folks. I was wrong. After a wait of about 20 minutes around 6:15 pm - 6:35 pm (the same wait time as estimated by the stylish hostesses in their sleek black dresses), we were guided to a cozy table. The restaurant sports an attractive outdoor bar/dining space as well as a sizeable, tastefully decorated lounge/dining area and equally large yet cushy, well-appointed dining room. I really liked the ambiance there - upbeat, contemporary and friendly, with a thread of fancy, yet unpretentious decor. No doubt the large, classy lounge area is well liked; it was full, as was the entire restaurant. Gary and I perused the menu thoroughly while waiting and working up our appetite, so we were ready to order pronto upon being seated. It did take a little longer than usual for someone to approach us. I think they had confusion on who was serving us. An alert water/bread server eventually directed a very friendly, capable server our way. After that, everything came in a timely fashion. We enjoyed a Mushrooms Neptune (very rich with a cream cheese/crab combo)-nicely served and tasty. We ordered heavier than usual meals for ourselves, seeing that the restaurant really specializes in fine beef-type dishes and meats. They also offer seafood, chicken, pork and salad dishes that sounded excellent--something for everyone. Gary very much enjoyed his pork BBQ ribs--excellent flavor and fall off the bone tender. He would've liked a little more meat for the investment. I ordered a "winter seasonal dish" of braised short ribs with a wine/mushroom reduction sauce (I believe that's what they called it). VERY yummy, tender, a bit fatty and with lots of meat! (& two monster bones that any dog would adore). Very flavorful. However, I became full very quickly with our appetizer, so I had plenty of short ribs to take with me for the next day. We enjoyed the flavors and quality that The Keg offered. We were too full to think about dessert. I would certainly go back to try some of the other entrees. Some of the entrees are on par with the more costly menus in Tucson, in the range of $22-$23 on the low end to $30s and even mid-$40s on the high end. It is a great special occasion dining destination, for sure or just the place to go when you want to treat yourself a bit and to dine on quality dishes.

We tried this place on a whim one night while out shopping. At first, we thought maybe we were in the wrong place. It was super dark and, from appearances seemed fairly upscale. But we thought, hey, it's Tucson...where people wear flip-flops to funerals. So we went in. The waitstaff was amazing...very cordial and accommodating. We were seated after a few minutes and drink order was taken by a handsome young man. :) I ordered a beautiful filet covered in the most delicious creamy, seafood sauce with fresh lobster and crab. I honestly can't even tell you how amazing it was. Perfection. The twice-baked potato it came with tasted fairly good, though reminded me a bit of hotel buffet fare. I believe the bill was around $70 including tip. Not too bad for two delicious steak dinners in an upscale setting. Can't wait to go back.

This chain really deserves zero stars. I would like to report on the food, drink, or even the service, but after waiting for more than 20 minutes without being even acknowledged by any member of the wait staff, I decided to take my business elsewhere. This was the second time I have been extremely disappointed in the level of service at this " upscale Sizzler" I was however more than overwhelmingly satisfied at the dining experience I received at Wildflower.

Amazing service!! Amazing pistachio crusted salmon w Brussels sprouts & garlic mashed potatoes! It melted in our mouths!! The only thing I would comment on is they need more flavorful butter for the bread or more flavorful bread & to serve espresso for dessert!!

The food is very good but the service is not! It took a long time for our server to even get to our table and then a long time to get our dinner and drinks. Our server had the personality of a wet rag! Not to mention the tacky "uniform" she was wearing. The skirt was so short it was uncomfortable for our dinner guests. Wish these owners would understand this is a nice upscale restaurant and not "hooters!! Not sure if I would go again even though the food was delicious...

We went to The Keg last night for our anniversary. We got a booth in the bar and ordered our wine and appetizers. My wife did not like her Escargot as she didn't feel it had enough garlic in it. The waitress took it away and a manager appeared to inquire what the problem was. He apologized and took it off of our check, which he didn't have to do. Upon learning it was our anniversary they brought us two glasses of champagne. A very class act. The rest of our meal was wonderful. Vanessa was our waitress and was a very delightful young lady. The place looks great, the food was great, and the service was amazing. We will be back!

The teriyaki sirloin is super delicious. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it were also very good. The drink selection was nice, when I didn't care for a drink the waitress promptly took it away and replaced it with something I did like. Ask for Stephanie! She's very sweet and prompt on all refills and orders. We went for my birthday and the manager gave us a complementary dessert that was DELICIOUS! While this isn't a cheap meal by any standards it was well worth it. We'll be back.

Went here once a few years ago, and the experience was so bad we've never gone back. After we were seated, no one came to wait on us. Waiters and staff walked by constantly over the course of 15 minutes and no one stopped or had the courtesy to at least ask if we've been helped yet. After 20-25 minutes, I got up and went to tell the hostess. After that, we finally got served, but that experience was not a good way to start things off. The food was ok but nothing special. With service that bad, I will not go back.

We went to The Keg for my son's birthday. It is located in an upscale shopping center off Oracle just south of Tangerine Blvd. They seated us promptly and took our drink orders. The Keg has a nice child's menu, but no vegetarian options (this was a problem for my wife). I ordered Top Sirloin and my son ordered Prime Rib. My Top Sirloin was tough and had to be returned. Warning: If you do not like your Prime Rib bloody rare, I would not order the Prime Rib. Even my Top Sirloin was very red in the center and I ordered medium well. The second Top Sirloin was chewable, but had lots of unpleasant gristle in it. The "Chef" came out to apologize for the tough Top Sirloin and he was very young. The sides we chose were Garlic Mashed Potatoes and green beans. The Garlic Mashed potatoes are mediocre and the green beans were not cooked quite enough. We told the waiter it was my son's birthday, but they did not do anything special. I do not think I would recommend this restaurant.

Excellent place! Food is top notch and a great value. We often sit in the bar area as it seems the dinning room is usually on a wait list. Love the cheese cake, I get every time! Servers are always attentive and dressed sharply, bathrooms are clean and stylish- my thoughts are if they care this much about their bathrooms the rest is bound to be good.

Decided to give this place a try and I'm glad I did. We went for happy hour so we sat on the bar side of the house. Our server was friendly and efficient. The happy hour menu is a good deal and value packed. Not a large beer selection but Molsons on tap is always a plus. we decided to have dinner and the wife and I ordered the prime rib sandwich, it was juicy and tender with good presentation. Great place!

Came here on a Thursday night around 7:30pm and the place was pretty empty, aside from the crowds surrounding the bar area, watching the NBA Playoff game. So, we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and equally efficient. I ordered the Thai Glazed chicken and instead of picking one of the sides it came with, I order a side of the spinach salad with goat cheese and dried cranberries. My coworker ordered the Prime Rib with a side of vegetables and we shared a side of the Truffled Mac & Cheese. I know, ordering chicken at a steakhouse might sound stupid, but I'm not a steak fan and the chicken was delicious! It has lots of red peppers and a sweet, tangy glaze drizzled on top of the perfectly cooked chicken. The Macaroni and Cheese, however, was seriously the best!! I am a huge cheese fan, so this really hit the spot. It's super super rich though, so I would definitely share this with someone. But oh man, this dish is something I know I'll be craving in the near future. Overall, pretty good restaurant. Nice atmosphere and phenomenal Macaroni and Cheese!

The worst beer list of any steakhouse I have been to, not one beer that pairs well with a steak! Service was also sub par. My wife came in late and since we were seated in a party of 16 on the side of the bar they wouldn't let her order a drink at the bar. We can see and hear everyone in the bar area but no happy hour because they said this is the fine dining area, but you can see all the TVs and hear everyone that is not fine dining that is a bar area. The only good beer that they had the keg blue at 5 o'clock on a Friday night and they did not have an extra one. You're telling me you don't have an extra keg of your most popular beer on a Friday night, the manager was incompetent at best. When our bill came I paid in cash he brought back the change but it wasn't change it was a credit card slip and somebody else's credit card bad experience all around.

We have been to The Keg numerous times. We always take out of state visitors there and they are always impressed. The food couldn't be any better. The wait staff is always top notch, but this time we a a server that should be the model for all waiters. His name was Joey and he was fantabulous. I had to coin a new word because existing words wouldn't do. We will always ask for Joey. He made our special night extra special.

I've been here twice when I visit my parents in Tucson. Their steaks and prime rib are excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. They have a great wine selection and a full bar. Their meat is top quality and prepared exactly the way you want it. I love their sides, but the twice baked potato is the best!

I'm not one to complain, But I was really disappointed with The Keg today. My fiancé and I came here before going to see a movie and I was really craving a Caesar salad. So I got their Caesar salad and added chicken , which added an extra 7.95.... Well, they gave me chicken all right. But there was literally two leaves of romaine lettuce chopped up into the most pathetic salad I have ever seen. Now, if I had wanted chicken with a SIDE of Caesar salad this would have been okay. But I did not. I literally ate all the lettuce within 4 minutes of my plate getting served to me. So I paid about 15$ for a salad that was not a salad. I'm also still hungry. I'm not saying I will never come back or that it's a bad restaurant. The service was great. Very friendly waiter. But come on. I just wanted a kick ass salad!

WOW! I was really impressed right away with the service from our waitress. She was professional and very attentive! I was a choice from a free dinner from Toby Keith's, or an expensive steak on the first "over the hill" dinner. I made the right choice! I had the prime rib with Maine lobster tail with the twice baked potato and it was reminiscent of Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. YUM! My wife also loved her chicken dish. My only gripe is that the place is called Keg so I thought they would have a bigger selection of microbrews on tap. I good IPA with my steak would have been nice but I'm not going to complain. I was very happy with my blue moon. I'm also not a desert eater but they threw in mocha tasting cake that blew me away! I'm drooling just thinking of it! I also five kudos to the chef coming out and introducing himself to us. Very nice tough to top of a great dinner. I'll definitley be back!!

Really enjoy sitting at the bar for Happy Hour and enjoying the great service, geat food and pretty good prices. The burger was one of the best I have tasted in a while. It was done to perfection and it held together with no typical mess. The bartenders are well versed in the food selections and you can't beat the $3 taps for happy hour.

I recently moved to Tucson from California and have been here 3 times now and is becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the city. First time was with family , second time with a client and this time with family from out of town. Excellent food, outstanding/superior service. Evona our waitress is one of the best I've experienced, personal and very professional. Made the dining experience exceptional. I eat out 4-5 days a week for the past 12 years, travel weekly and have experienced many fine establishments. I take the time to write about exceptional experiences or really bad ones. We had family from out of town and they were impressed by the entire staff especially Evona. Introduced herself to everyone personally. Then the evening began. Appetizers that were recommended, the baked goat cheese and Santa Fe Chicken dip were delicious, hot and not too much, and excellent start. The main course, Prime Rib was done perfectly with very (spicy) hot horseradish which was great with the meat and twice baked potatoes were cooked as ordered and very good taste. My Zesty Salmon was cooked perfectly, flaky and was very tasty. All the sides, bread, etc...were very good. Drinks never ran low, the waitress addressed all by name throughout the meal, never too much, just perfect. The service was 5 Star. Evona again is a gem to this restaurant. She sets the bar very high ! I look forward to my next meal there.....

Had a nice meal with family. The restaurant was quite and the server was fair. He was not as friendly as I would expect a server to be, especially at a nice steakhouse. The food was good and the prices were acceptable.

We came in to use a gift certificate given to me for Christmas. It was Friday and busy but there was place at the bar which was okay with us. We have sat at the bar a couple of times and actually enjoyed that vantage point. We started with a beer and a throwback Whiskey Sour. Don't know why I picked that but it was great. As it was happy hour we ordered a starter and the burgers off of the bar menu. That burger was one of the best ones I have ever have. When delivered it was stacked high, which gives me concern as this usually mean the bun falls apart about 2 bites into it. Not this burger. It held together to the last bite. Perfectly done. Perfectly dress. Wonderful burger. We will be back.

BAR/APPS ONLY...I''ve been here twice and had similar experiences. I like the bar area, the atmosphere was fun and the waitresses were looked great. But the apps were terrible and the the beer selection is average at best. I always order calamari and this was the WORST i have ever had!! The sliders were average. The service was good.

There are alot of steakhouses in Tucson and I would have to say The Keg is the best one in town by far! A little pricy but oh so worth it. The service is exceptional and we'd love to go back there again.

They do make good food and they have a good selection of wines and beer. The servers at the bar are great with customer service and I would definitely opt for a table in the bar area again. The restaurant doesn't have many options that work well for people with food allergies; there doesn't seem to be much wiggle room in the menu as far as that goes. I spelled out my allergies and not one person from the keg mentioned anything about an allergy menu. The kitchen was unwilling to simply steam some vegetables and sear salmon; they insisted that everything had to be placed on the grill. The manager was involved and the server seemed upset that they could not do something as simple as steam or sear. She was extremely apologetic. So, I sat and enjoyed my water while my husband enjoyed his steak. The place is pretty dimly lit, but I guess that's part of the ambiance that they're going for.

So for this evening's weekly splurge, my wife and I went to The Keg Steakhouse + Bar. Kind of fancy. I knew this going in, so I donned my best Carhartt t-shirt and jeans with the least amount of paint on them. When we got there, it was as fancy as their website portrayed. If I had any class or even a sense of shame, I probably would have been a little intimidated. The hostess, our server, and the manager, all three asked us, "Are we celebrating this evening?" implying, "There's no way you people would be eating at a place like this for any reason other than your 25th anniversary." There was wall to wall old, white people all in their Cardigans, suit jackets, and Dockers. The walls were lined with built in wine coolers and attentive servers fastidiously shining wine glasses. My wife said even the bathrooms were some of the fanciest bathrooms she's ever visited. And she's been to an IHOP. The staff were very cordial and prompt. When I got the menu, the first thing I noticed was that the steaks came with "Keg Fries" and slowly the "classy" facade began to erode. I ordered the New York, medium rare, and it was perfect. Well seasoned, good cut, cooked to order, and my Keg Fries came with ketchup. Which was really the only thing I didn't even touch as I despise ketchup. My wife got some crap that had crab and a little 6 oz sirloin. She said hers was very good as well. Server was also on top of the drinks and even gave us water without our asking. I didn't touch it on principle. Only small complaint was after it was all over, the check took a little long to get there. But whatever. Overall, I would recommend and we would definitely go back.

Fun place for cocktails and great environment. The martinis are large and cold, just the way I like them. I didn't have a meal here but did get some appetizers to go. The prime rib sliders were excellent but the nachos, not so much (probably better to eat them there).

As other Yelpers have described, there is an incredibly strong aroma of steak that surrounds this building...I can't complain! Inside, you might immediately deem yourself to be under dressed...partially due to the pieces of black fabric clinging to the hostesses. But, once again... I can't complain! As a party of 6, we were celebrating a new job, an anniversary, and a birthday. I'm walking in, thinking...I hope this place doesn't screw up our celebrations! And that they did not. They made things so much better for us, which I'll get to here in a bit... We were seated in a long booth and immediately seen by a friendly waiter. I really liked the high ceilings and lighting of the place, it really gave the place that feeling of "lush elegance" but without the side of pretentiousness. The cocktails at the table were well received and we soon ordered after downing two loaves of bread (average taste/consistency, but clearly eatable). We started with the Mushrooms Neptune..and uhhhhhh, I'm pretty sure my taste buds deserted me for anything else but this after trying this little gem of an appetizer. There were five or six mushrooms in all, but they were baked in a creamy crab and cream cheese mix that was downright phenomenal. We used our left over bread to soak up any remaining cheese and crab blend. And, enter our entrees. Everyone somehow ended up with their own (we usually split everything) but we had no issue managing our steaks. I had the special filet (partially wrapped in applewood smoked bacon) and it was right along the lines of an average steak, honestly. A little overcooked, but I dealt with it. My father had the NY Strip, and this was easily one of the best steaks I've had (minus my trips to Vegas). Cooked to perfection with an amazing juiciness about it...I'm pretty sure my remaining taste buds stayed behind for this piece of meat. Another one of my family members had lobster and said it was well done (she's picky) and actually ate all of it. Now, for what really took our experience above and beyond. The manager and waiter brought out three mini bottles of champagne, six glasses, and poured it for all six of us. OHPP, it's not over yet, Here comes this ice cream cake concoction for all of us to share. They wished us well on our special occasions and comped the champagne and dessert. I'm normally not a champagne fan, but this had a pleasant, fruity taste to it. The mocha/Bailey's ice cream cake shattered my expectations and was gone in like 2.5 seconds. Overall, I would say this was a 4.5 star experience and I will definitely be back when family rolls into town.

Decided to see where the delicious smell of steak was coming from. You walk in and immediately feel under-dressed. All of the waitresses are in little black dresses and the place looks like something out of The Godfather. Very dark, even in the middle of the afternoon. Our first surprise is that for somewhere named "The Keg" the beer selection is surprisingly limited, or at least poorly advertised. The menu is rather tricky and designed to pick your pockets. Almost everything is an optional side, so don't expect a full plate. Steak was indeed delicious, but not $10 better than the Chili's down the road. Atmosphere was loud, service was...weird. Like being in a shopping mall, that sort of friendly-but-not-really feeling. Weird.

So the name is The Keg. Not an upscale name really. We were out shopping and decided this place would have French onion soup. We were not dressed for upscale and did not really expect such a thing from a place called The Keg Steakhouse and Bar. Yes we should have used our Yelp reviews but we didn't. We walked into the restaurant and received service in a friendly welcoming fashion despite our being not quite dressed for the type of restaurant we just entered. Then the hostess asked us what our special occasion was? As if we, dressed as we were could only be at such a restaurant for a very special occasion. My husband and I explained that we were passing by while shopping and there was no special occasion we were just hungry. I apologized for being under dressed and thanked her for sitting us in a private booth. Then when the waiter came he asked us the exact same question, " so what special event are you here for?" Then he asked if we had been to his restaurant and since we had not felt he should explain how their menu works. Now they don't have a complicated menu. But, he showed us that page one is appetizers, two is their steaks and three is chicken and seafood. Page four is their seasonal or special menu. So, we get to order and decide on French onion soup to start with ribeye steak for him and chicken with bbq ribs for me to finish. The side we both chose was the twice baked potato at the suggestion of our waiter. The soup was terrific. Perfect blend of cheese, great bread and broth under the cheese. The ribeye was 35 dollars and very tasty. Could have been cooked a bit more as we ordered medium rare and it was more rare than medium. The taste and quality of cut of meat was worth the money though. That is all that was worth the money. The soup and the cut of steak. The twice baked potato's were so dry we could not eat them. I have had better twice baked from the freezer section of our local grocery. The BBQ chicken and ribs also so bad as to be not edible. Dry chicken with a light brush of BBQ sauce. Soggy ribs with no flavor. We won't be returning.

I live in Phoenix and have dined at the Desert Ridge location (you can see my review for that one) and let me tell you, this location is vastly different than the one in Phoenix. Great food, tasteful ambiance and great service. Check out this location if you're in the mood for some good upscale dining.

Have you ever been driving along, minding your own darn business, when suddenly you're straight- up assaulted by the smell of, well, Steak? That's basically what happened when the family and I happened upon the Keg Steakhouse on our way from another establishment in the Oro Valley Marketplace. So, because the NOSE KNOWS, we let it lead the way and pulled up salivating with the entire crew. Upon entering, I must admit I immediately got the feeling that this was NOT the type of place to just drop into with 4 kids. Some folks were dressed really nice, like in suits and all that jazz, and my hubby and I glanced at each other with that knowing look - we would most certainly be spending over $200 on dinner tonight. We were right, we did...but OMG was it ever worth it, and the kiddos got to upgrade their steakhouse experience. We all listened intently as our waiter explained that the steaks are "specially aged a minimum of 28 days for extra tenderness, well trimmed and cut to avoid fat & gristle, and seasoned to perfection with the Kegs unique blend of spices." Everyone had Steaks and they were as described. We all left very happy, and FULL...those things are huge! On my second visit, the hubby and I sneaked off for a late night anniversary dinner, and this time we started with an order of Calamari - talk about lightly breaded, fried, with red peppers, jalapenos and a sweet teriyaki sauce GOODNESS. For dinner I went for their Atlantic Lobster Tails (I am a lobster freak) and they were SUCCULENT! Oolala My main squeeze of 11 years, had tender, flavorful, spiced and slow roasted Prime Rib. Needless-to-say, we were both very pleased with the entire meal. Not to mention, the cocktails and dimmed, candle lit environment, was just what the anniversary gods ordered. Perfection!

A very nice atmosphere at the restaurant. Personnel are attentive to your needs. I reccomend having the baseball sirloin steak. This dish is fantastic as the piece of meat is the actual size of a large baseball, yes actually round and medium rare and very tender. Honestly, I am not a butcher and never knew you could receive a sirloin steak at this height, and at this density. Very good, and you will not be disapointed. Also, if you like martinis, this is the place to hang in the bar. Go with the blue cheese olives too.

Very interesting place we have here: The Keg. I waltzed into this place because a close friend of mine wanted to have dinner here for his birthday. It's a very loud place, lots going on. The service is okay, nothing spectacular. The waitresses obviously work there because of their tight hard bodies which is fine with me. We had a blonde girl as our server, big jugs, nice attitude, a little empty upstairs but she tries hard and that's all that matters. I asked her a few questions about the menu and it looked like she was struggling to figure out the answer, kinda reminded me of myself when I watch House M.D. on Monday nights. Anyways, we ordered (four people in our party) and it took about an hour to get us our food. It seemed like those around us had the same wait times. During that hour, I noticed a lot of things about this place. There's a lot of tv's around the place that show the basketball games. I asked the waitress if she could turn the channel to the UofA game and she asked what sport that was... It's all good though. We sorted her out and finally after twenty minutes we got to watch the UofA game. As for the environment, everybody at the bar had an agenda that night. You'll see a bunch of young dudes trying to pick up the cougars and vice versa. I actually learned some things from watching the people at the bar, might as well watch the other "game" since our table was right next to the bar and we had a long wait time. This one guy managed to pick up a nice little blonde, good for him. They looked like they would enjoy each other. At one point, this older dude was making out with a young brunette right in front of us. Things were a bit awkward, especially for me since my chair faced right in their direction. I mean, when you see something like that, you can't help but stare and be like, como what??? Anyways, the food was great. Small portions, cooked to your liking. The waitresses are overworked and have to manage so many tables so the service is not so individual. When that happens, you can usually holler at the dude in the suit who wanders around the floor. He'll help you out with whatever you need like refills and all that jazz. All in all, 3 stars! Stay vigilant people. -Joey Rockafella

Don't let the fact that it is in a Walmart parking lot fool you... This is a very nice, upscale steakhouse (The "Baseball steak" is fantastic). It has a nice, dimly-lit, almost Vegas like atmosphere to it. My only real complaint is that it is in Oro Valley, so even having a responsible drink or two with your meal is just about out of the question... Oro Valley is cop central and they pull you over for anything.

Many years ago I joined their mailing list which entitled me to a free birthday meal (a $25 value)!!! My dining companion (a classically trained executive chef). While I've been to the Keg many times, it was Chef's 1st Keg meal. I am a celiac, so there's always a question/answer period with the server. Chef made the reservation and forewarned the staff of the dietary restriction. We were taken to a generous booth and were treated like royalty(even with a coupon). KIRSTEN was our server. It was more than impressive that she understood the whole gluten issue. She was a delightful addition to our delicious meal. From start to finish, the meal was exquisite, the service flawless. Kirsten took great care of us!!!! As we watched others get their meals, it was obvious all guests were treated with flawless service. The meat was cooked to perfection, the seafood was perfect; we could find no downside to the event. All employees seemed to work together like a team; but doggone Kirsten was brilliant. The food was over the top excellent, including a Brule for dessert. Yes the food was pricey but worth every penny! The atmosphere was a bit ''frank Sinatra-ish' but updated. Thank you Kirsten for your attention to detail which allowed us to have our dietary needs met.

"Yay! I'm a fan." That's what it says when I click four stars and that's exactly what I was thinking only halfway through my meal. I have about the options that have been popping up around the Northwest side these days. Some are dull. Some are different. Some you see it and think "these people have no idea about the odd dining habits of the crowd up here. Some are complete duplicates of each other.(Jax/Wildflower/Harvest)(Winner going to Jax, easily) Some are just right. The Keg is just this restaurant. It's hours, location, steakhouse theme with attractive people it's just what I'm looking for. Would love to see it free standing and not in the shopping center but whatev. I have always said Flemming's is doing the best, most consistent food in Tucson. The prices have been too high to enjoy often enough. The Keg has that covered. I always try and head to a place at least twice before I review. I have been four times and loved them all. Their specialty cocktails are excellent. Their apps are great, french onion soup and calamari. The steaks are just right for the price. While Flemings still has the edge on the bone in rib-eye, Kegs' is a close second. The service can be slightly spotty. I have been going for the last 3 months and it does seem to be getting better with each visit. I haven't been in the dining room only to take a look cause I never make it past the bar area. So inviting and a slightly more lively atmosphere. I'm into it. Keep it up Keg.... the NW side loves you!

The Keg was just another steakhouse like all the rest. Or so I thought. Went there tonight with my honey for Valentine's day. Not a bad wait, maybe 20 min max. I did not have high hopes for this place but it was something new and new to the area. I saw escargot on the menu and had to order it cause im weird like that. It was interesting. Mushroom caps filled with the "delicasy". It was not bad. For dinner I ordered the prime rib with lobster. The steak was out of this world! Perfectly cooked. Some tasty mashed taters came with it. The hotseradish was on the mild side and the au ju sauce tasted too much like gravy but the steak was just fine without either. The lobster was forgetful. It wasn't bad, it just did not have any taste...at all. But the prime rib was worth it. She got the baseball sirloin which really resembled a baseball, a round mound of sirloin grilled to excellence. Watch out in the bar area. Coctail waitresses showing the goods more than needed.

I recently went to the keg for ladies night. We had drinks and appetizers. We ordered several appetizers, and when the nachos arrived they were burnt! When our waitress came by and asked how things were, we told her we were disappointed with the nachos. She got the manager and he too was disappointed in how the nachos came out. He took them back and got us a fresh, more presentable order. But as we had mentioned to him, had the nachos been marshmallows they would have been perfectly roasted. When he took them back we joking commented that marshmallows would be great especially with the heaters outside. When the manager brought back the new nacho order, he also had a server go and marshmallows and brought us a plate with them; on skewers ready for roasting.. which we did! Talk about customer service!

When a place is named the Keg, you would assume they would have bar type food with prices that are reasonable. Not true at all with this place. Food is way over priced for what you get. I went there for happy hour and felt that I was forced to order an entree. My server asked me if my table would be ordering dinner, I replied and said we will start with appetizers and drinks and go from there. Once she realized we were there for just happy hour, she didn't want anything to do with us. Why have an happy hour if you can't enjoy it and feel pressured to buy one of their over priced dinner entrees? Will not be returning to the Keg ever again!

I have been here four times and have always had a good experience. One time my girl friends steak was not very good and she mentioned it to our waiter who took her plate away. The waiter apologized for the bad steak and brought her a whole new one, the chef came out and apologized, and finally the manager came and apologized. They also comped our meal even though we said that was not necessary. The inside is tastefully decorated, they have a very pleasant very nice looking service staff. The manager who just came down from Phoenix makes it a point to stop by and see how your meal is. If they served lunch I would give them 5 stars. Also, they have a killer happy hour menu with specials.

If you are searching for some place that will treat you right, look no further. The Keg really gets good service. Last time we visited, we ordered the Blue Moon Seasonal. Unfortunately, they were out of that particular beer. No problem (for us) we just ordered something different. For the Keg it was a problem. Our server apologized, but that wasn't the end. Soon, our table was visited by Pete, one of the managers. He again apologized and offered to purchase our second round. Great! However, I only order one beer, but let it go at that. Not Pete. After visiting our table again and finding out I was not ordering another beer, he insisted on providing us with a dessert. We ordered a frozen dessert and when they found we couldn't eat it all, but were going to shop before we headed home, they offered to hold it in their freezer until we finished shopping. This isn't the first time we have experienced this type of service at the Keg. I feel like if anything isn't perfect, they will make it so. All the food we've ordered here was perfectly prepared, tasty (if a little pricy). We are addicted to their patio so don't often go to the dining room. That said, if you are like us and love a beautiful patio, check this one out.

I went back for a second try, had their tiger shrimp, some great wine, and had a great time. I have not ventured back for their steak, but over all it was a better experience the second time. I will keep you posted when I go back for a steak, that will be the real deal.

Busy on a Friday night but if you can't get a table the bar serves the full restaurant menu. If it is busy, one must be a little aggressive to get service. Service once it is provided is excellent. Food is made with quality ingredients and is tasty with several options on the menu for any carnivore. My drink order could have been a little more generous and probably would have been if I had seated myself at the actual bar instead of the bar area.

Had an incredible dinner here on 1/22/11. We did make a reservation, of course. Our party of 6 was seated promptly and our server, Matt, took great care of us. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and took care to accompany the runners to our table and make sure we never felt rushed. The desserts were out of this world!

Have been here twice since it opened. Always packed and a long wait around dinner (45+ minutes). Both times we were lucky to find an open seat in the bar. First visit was fabulous. Great server. Had appetizer of chicken cheese dip with chips that was very creamy and delicious. I had a NY Strip that was perfectly cooked to order, very flavorful and tender. Husband had ribs and enjoyed them, they were fall-off-the-bone tender with a flavorful sauce. Sides were standard steakhouse, but good (we had steamed asparagus). Dessert was a HUGE slice of delicious, moist carrot cake. We had leftovers the next day. Second visit was just OK. Service was average. We had the calamari appetizer which was underwhelming. I had the blue cheese filet which had a "golden brown blue cheese crust" which was very weird. There was a thick layer of the topping (1/2 inch??) that had a very mild blue cheese flavor, but was very greasy. I usually LOVE blue cheese, but this topping was just not what I was expecting. I ended up scraping it all off and the filet was good on its own. Husband had a ribeye that was not that tender, but was cooked to order. Sides were fine. Too full for dessert!

Very overrated and disappointing. The service was mediocre with our wait staff failing to notice the absence of silverware when food was served. Empty dishes sitting on the table until we called for someone to remove them. Water glasses not promptly refilled and slow bar service. The ribeye steaks were the thinnest we've ever seen and were over seasoned with some salty concoction that overwhelmed the taste of the meat. My wife has an acute sense of taste and after one bite of my ribeye she said he couldn't eat it because of the strong salt flavor. Her fillet was very good, tender and cooked well to order, but then fillets are generally the least flavorful of beef cuts. For the price we expected a much better quality of beef and accompanying service. Our previous visits during happy hour have always been great with good bar food and well made cocktails. However, for steaks I'd choose McMans or Sullivan's over The Keg.

We went on a sunday night and it was quite crowded. I would say that it is your typical steakhouse chain type place. Think Black Angus. The service was good, plenty of help and the appearance of the service people is above average. I found the food quite average, nothing spectacular. the ceasar salad was pretty bland and the NY strip steak was just OK, not a lot of flavor. I am not sure I would go back.

My wife and I went here for our 23rd anniversary. This restraunts atmosphere was very nice. We were greeted and was seated in about 10 minutes. Our server was very nice. He explained they were known for thier prime rib. We ordered the new york strip. He explained thier cooking process doneness chart. We had medium which thier guide said was pink and warm in the middle. We also ordered the spinach salad with goat cheese. The salad had craisins, pecans and strawberries with a vinegarette dressing. The bread and salad was very good. We had the new york strip cooked at medium with garlic mashed potatoes. Our steak came out and had no pink in it so we sent it back. The manager came out and apoligized and had a new one sent out. The steak was good. The staff here was very friendly and attentative. The chef even came to our table to ask how the meal was. Overall it is a good place to go. Thier prices were a little high, $26 for a 12oz steak that came with one side. I have had a better tasting steak elsewhere but our server did say thier speciality was the prime rib, so next time I will try it.

Went on a Friday night, no wait for seats, salads were cold, plate too, had the fancy burger-great, wife had the prime rib special, very tender, creme brûlée, shared, was excellent and enough for two for dessert. Service was professional and attentive, a bit more expensive than Outback but better, will go back, tho probably not Sat nite due to crowds.

First time at The Keg in Oro Valley. In spite of an almost full parking lot, we were seated promptly. Classy, upscale decor. Service (by Dylan) was right on the mark: attentive, efficient and non-intrusive. Steaks were flavorful, tender and cooked to perfection; veggies and baked potato were also fine. Would have to agree with other reviewer that Caesar salad could be better; Romaine was fresh but dressing was so-so, parmesan was slab-like rather than grated and there was one lonely crouton. And yes, the hostesses and other female staffers were a tad tarty-looking in their skimpy black outfits. PS - Anthony H.: What did the lobster forget?!

My husband and I ate at The Keg last night. It was excellent. The teriaki classic and the t-bone were very tender and delicious, great meal. The creme brulee was wonderful! Our server, Tiffany ( I think) was very pleasant and informative. It was a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back.
